Formatting, if done right, can evoke a sense of readability. However, given the fact that 100% of your text is, well, text, adding a pleasant yet professional font can go a long way to making your document outline look like a million bucks.

Although this newly-released open source typeface works in 800 languages, there is often a need to find other creative ways of expressing yourself. Unique fonts show the personality of the author and provide a feel for events like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and many others.

If you are not satisfied with the fonts that Google Docs already offers, you can install new ones. There are many situations in which you might want to install custom fonts. For example, if you are a graphic designer, you might want to use unique fonts for your projects.

The benefit of using a custom font is that it makes your document stand out. For example, you could use a readable custom font for your resume. This would help make it stand out among the thousands of resumes that a recruiter goes through.

The benefit of this method is that there are hundreds of fonts in Google Docs. From this list, you can choose the ones that match what you are looking for. Google Docs also gives you several options for filtering these fonts (as you will see below).

The very first step is to open the Google Docs document where you want to add new fonts. To do this, first go to the Google Docs homepage. Type docs.google.com in the search bar of your browser and press enter. Make sure that you sign in to your Google account so that you can access the page.

In our case, we can install an add-on to find fonts. This add-on is called Extensis Fonts. If the font you are looking for is not in the list of fonts that Google Docs offers, you can try this method.

In the search results, you will find the Extensis Fonts icon. Click on it to be taken to the page with all the information about this add-on. For example, you can read the reviews users have left about the add-on. You can also see images of how the font works in Google Docs.

The second method of doing this is by installing an add-on called Extensis Fonts. Once you install it, you can filter and sort the fonts from the panel on the right. This is similar to the previous method.

So how do you add new fonts to Google Docs? With the help of an easy to use add-on called Extensis Fonts, which will give you access to the 1200+ fonts from the Google Font collection. The add-on also allows you to show only specific font families and sort by alphabetical, date added, popularity, and trending.

For the uninitiated, Google Docs gives you the option to add as many fonts as you want from its Google Fonts library. This consists of over 1,300 different font families, all of which can be added to your account and accessed through Google Docs and Google Slides. There are many situations where this is useful, so how do you start adding fonts to your Google Docs?

First, open a Google Doc on your computer and ensure the paragraph style is set to Normal text. You will see that the default font in Google Docs is Arial and the default font size is 11.

Change the font and font size to whatever you wish to make the default. The default setting is what every new Google Doc you open will open with in terms of typeface, paragraph settings, and line spacing.

Now, every time you start a new document, your default font settings will be what you set. If you need to reset your styles, click the Styles dropdown, then go to Options. From the extended menu, click Reset styles.
